The Roller has a solid timber body which is precisely machined on the Gold Coast in QLD, Australia. We craft the Roller in many solid hardwood species and custom timbers on request. The Roller is well suited to kitchen island installs, as well as commercial spaces such as offices and hospitality settings. Once it is machined it is hand sanded, and we finish the timber with a high-quality furniture lacquer. We fit the highest quality lighting components into the timber piece and wire it up with our custom-made grippers and cable system. Finally, each pendant is individually assessed to ensure it is working perfectly and looks beautiful. It’s quite a process but we love crafting these unique pendants.
With all the bespoke options and the stunning variations in solid timber, we’ve never made the same pendant twice. Due to the handmade nature of our lighting, you might expect to find slight variations in size and finish. We do our best to show the true timber appearance in our photos. If you would like to see the different timber species up close, please contact us for a timber sample, and let us know if you have a particular vision in mind for your pendant.
What is the lead time?
The standard lead time for a made-to-order pendant is 6-8 weeks.

What pendant length will suit my bench size?
We recommend setting your pendant 200-400mm from each end of your bench. This will ensure the best distribution of light over your bench and looks in proportion to your bench length.
Is this pendant bright enough for my kitchen island?
Our linear pendants provide 750 lumens per meter which is the equivalent to 1 bright standard light bulb per meter. They are commonly installed over kitchen islands and are designed to be a practical task light though pleasant to look at. We recommend installing a dimmer to give you the flexibility to control the light output.
Is there an extra visible electrical cable?
No – we use unique electrical suspension cables (2.6mm diameter) which creates a minimal aesthetic.
How many cables will my pendant need?
For lengths up to 2700mm the pendant will need 2 cables. Lengths 2800mm and 3000mm will typically require 3 cables. We can accommodate special requests in the location and quantity of cables required.
Is this pendant dimmable?
Our linear pendants are fully dimmable with a variety of dimming types. Our standard dimming type is Phase-Cut (Leading/Trailing) which will suit most residential homes, providing you don’t have a special requirement like DALI dimming or Bluetooth. Other dimming types are available on request.
How do I order?
To place an order online, select the specifications from the choices above and click add to cart. Your order will be placed once your pendant is paid for in full or a minimum 30% deposit is made. If you would prefer, it is also an option for you to pay for your order via bank transfer. To do this select the ‘Order Now, Pay Later’ option at the checkout and we will be in touch to provide the details. If you have placed your order with a 30% deposit, the remaining balance will be due before the delivery of your order.
